"roots"
Alvin’s research is rooted in the symbol as a primary language.
A visual system that operates before words, activating an instinctive and collective memory.
The presented work marks a return to the origin of his visual vocabulary: an iconic form pierced by the dripping heart, a defining element of his practice. A sign that introduces emotional tension and movement within a recognizable structure.
The work exists within a dialogue between pop imagery and authorial language, between shared memory and personal identity.
