"TV SUCKS/TV SAVED MY LIFE"

ALL SOLD

Alvin's "TV SUCKS and TV SAVED MY LIFE" series explores the ambivalent role of television in our contemporary society.

Through two stylized canvases depicting an old television with colored monoscope lines made with pieces of felt and fluorescent-colored Pollock drops, the artist conveys a powerful and thoughtful message.

The message "TV SUCKS" appears on one canvas, reflecting the growing disenchantment with television as a medium of entertainment.

On the other canvas, however, "TV SAVED MY LIFE" suggests the transformative potential of television in individual experience.

Through this series, Alvin invites the viewer to consider the inherent dualism of things, exploring different perspectives on television and its impact on our daily lives.
